Some of the animals can only be identified when their smell if exposed after they are dead. One of the best ways to get rid of the smell of the dead animal is to locate the area and then dispose of the animal from that area.

The odor smell may last for 10 days or more, depending on the type of animal. Baking Soda

Baking soda is also another effective way of getting rid of the dead animal smell. It will not help you to locate the animal but its use can lessen the bad smell. Dilute the baking soda and spray it in the area from where you find the smell coming. The odor of the dead animal is quite bad for the people and even it can create breathing problems for the people at time. Hence it is always recommended to opt for any of the ways listed above.
